How we use business contact details
Version 2026-09-contacts-v7 ยท 29 September 2026
This page is for people whose work contact details we hold. We did not collect them from you, so the law says we have to tell you directly what we have, where we got it, and what you can do about it. That is what this page is.
If you would rather we did not list you, object here. It takes one form and a confirmation email, and we stop.
Who we are
Padel Genie is a trading name of Breakfast Enterprises Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11414686, with its registered office at Flat 17, Scholars House, 36 Glengall Road, London NW6 7GF. Our ICO registration reference is ZC247570. We map UK padel venues and the planning applications behind them, and we sell suppliers to that industry a way to reach the people who run the clubs. You can reach us at hello@padelgenie.io.
What we hold about you
Things about your working role. We hold no dates of birth and nothing about your private life. Two exceptions, stated so this page is not wrong about you: if you applied for planning permission as a private individual, the site address on your application may be your home (see Planning applicants below); and a small number of the email addresses we hold look personal, such as a Gmail address. We mark those and never offer them to anyone.
The figures below count everyone in our records on 21 September 2026.
| What | How many people |
|---|---|
| Your name | 4,435 |
| Your employer, and the venue we link you to | 4,283 |
| Your job title, as published | 2,997 |
| Whether you are a registered director or a person with significant control of a company | 2,671 |
| A work email address | 2,071 |
| A public LinkedIn profile URL | 1,411 |
| A work phone number | 216 |
Where we got it
Named individually, because "publicly available sources" tells you nothing.
| Source | What came from it |
|---|---|
| Companies House | Your name, your role as a registered officer or person with significant control, and the company. This is a public register. |
| Apollo.io | A business-contact database we subscribe to. Most of our email addresses, phone numbers and LinkedIn URLs came from there. |
| Clay | A business data service we use to find the people who work at a company, from the company's web address. |
| The club's own website | Names, job titles and published contact addresses on staff, team and contact pages. |
| Public LinkedIn profiles | The profile URL and the job title shown on it. |
| The planning register | Where a person is named on a padel planning application, through the council's public register. |
| A general web search | Press coverage and club announcements naming a person and their role. |
Some email addresses we worked out rather than found. Where we knew your name and your employer's email pattern, we constructed a likely address and in some cases checked whether the mailbox accepted mail. 752 of the 2,102 addresses we hold were arrived at this way. We think you should know that, because it means an address we hold for you may be one you have never published and may not be one you use.
For some details we did not keep a record of the source. We hold 86 email addresses that we recorded before we started keeping a note of where each one came from. Some of those may have been worked out in the same way.
Some links between a person and a club are ours. Where we say you work at a particular club, that is sometimes because you work for the company we believe runs it, rather than because a source named you at that club.
Why we hold it, and on what legal basis
Our lawful basis is UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests: holding and disclosing business contact data of people acting in a business capacity at padel venues and planning applicants, to suppliers to that industry.
In deciding that this is fair we relied on: selecting people by their business role only; offering only work addresses for sale, never an address we believe is personal; Companies House officer and person-with-significant-control data being a public register; and the objection route below.
You can ask us for our written assessment of that balance and we will send it.
Who we share it with
Plainly: suppliers to the padel industry, on a paid plan, who choose to unlock a particular field about a particular person and are charged for it. A supplier sees your name and employer; they see your email, phone or LinkedIn only if they pay to unlock that specific field, and we keep a record of who unlocked what. A supplier can download what they have unlocked as a spreadsheet, up to five times a day. It is not a mailing list and we do not sell the database as a whole.
During early access we approve every supplier by hand before they can unlock anything.
These services handle your details for us:
- Cloudflare runs the site and the database.
- Resend sends our emails, including the confirmation email if you object.
- Bouncer, ZeroBounce and DeBounce check whether an email address accepts mail. We send them the address.
- Brave Search runs the web searches described above.
Apollo.io and Clay are sources, above. To find people who work at a company, we send our data provider the company's web address or its registered company name.
How long we keep it
We delete anyone who has never been unlocked by any customer and has not been seen in any source for 24 months. We keep the rest while a customer holds an unlock, because the record of what was sold has to survive. You can have us stop sooner by objecting or asking us to delete your details.
We apply this by hand. The job that will do it automatically is not built yet, and this page will say so when it is.
Planning applicants
Where a planning application for padel courts is made in the United Kingdom, the local planning authority publishes it on a statutory public register. We record, from that register: the applicant's name as filed, the site address of the application, and the application reference and authority. Where the applicant is a company we also record its registered number and the officers that Companies House publishes. Where a planning application is made in a person's own name, we may search Companies House's public register of company officers to find a company that person directs, and link the application to that company only where the address given on the planning application agrees with the address on the company register, or where the person's name is uncommon and the company's name or registered business plainly relates to the proposed scheme. Where planning documents name an agent, we may store the agent's business name, business email and business phone number as published in those documents.
We obtain this from the authority's own planning portal, either directly or through PlanIt, which aggregates UK planning registers. Some names are read from a portal field; others are extracted from the application documents the authority publishes, and we record which.
This includes applicants who are private individuals. Their name as filed is shown to suppliers who pay to reveal it, alongside the application. We record the site address as part of the application record, and where the applicant is a private individual this may be their home address, which is why an objection route exists. Where an applicant is a private individual, we store the address given on the planning application only to match it against public registers; we never display, export or sell it. We hold no email address or telephone number for an individual named as an applicant. Where a named individual is also an officer of a company we hold, that record is governed by this notice and the same rights apply.
We process this on the basis of legitimate interests: identifying who is developing padel facilities in the UK so that suppliers to the sport can reach them. You may object at any time using the form here, quoting the application reference and authority.
If you object, we remove your name from the applications we hold. We keep a record of the objection itself, your name and the application reference, so the name is not added back by a later import. Where the same name appears on other applications, we remove it there too and keep the removed entry for 30 days so we can check that we have not removed someone else's application, after which it is deleted. We keep nothing else.
Your rights
- Object. Use this form with the email address we hold for you. We stop listing you, and we keep a record of the address so a later import cannot add you back. If we do not hold an email address for you, or you are not sure which one, email us with your name and the company you work for and we will do it by hand.
- See what we hold. Email us and we will send you your record.
- Correct it. Tell us and we will fix it.
- Have it deleted. Email us. Deletion is different from objecting: objecting keeps a note of your address so you stay off, deletion removes the record entirely and we may pick you up again from a public source later.
- Restrict how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere.
All of these: hello@padelgenie.io. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather you gave us the chance to put it right.
Our general privacy policy covers people who sign up to use Padel Genie. This page is about people we hold data about without them being customers.
